Ship clean, or don't ship at all.
Kappal was founded in 2023 to bring Fortune 500 engineering standards to operations-heavy businesses that have long been underserved by software: deterministic systems, strict test coverage, and compliance-first architecture.
Founder and Chief Architect Rajakani Murugesan spent over two decades building mission-critical systems at global scale. At Tata Consultancy Services he led test-driven modernization for AXA PPP Healthcare. At GE Energy he built document and rule engines for the power and water business. At PKGlobal he orchestrated multi-platform products for Valmont Structures and Valley Irrigation.
We don't just write code. We engineer deterministic, high-compliance systems, and we hold ourselves to the same standard we built at enterprise scale. A delivery team of cloud architects and integration specialists ships beside every platform we run.

The Story of Kappal: How it All Started
It all started in 2023, with a question I had carried for two decades of building enterprise software. Why did the engineering rigour I had seen inside the world's largest systems never reach the businesses that needed it most?
The projects I had worked on ran at a scale most teams never see, and every one of them taught me the same lesson. Software vendors build for the biggest buyer in the room, then sell the same product to everyone else and call it enterprise. Operations-heavy businesses were expected to bend their business around software that was never designed for them.
Why not build something different?
That question became Kappal in 2023, with two promises that still define the company. You pay for what you run, not for what a license unlocks. And your platform grows with your business, instead of holding it back.
Today those promises ship as PropelOS, RudderAI and Synergy Labs. PropelOS runs commerce and operations for businesses that move goods, orders and inventory across channels, with B2B and B2C on one system and modernization that runs around the legacy software you already trust. RudderAI is how we govern AI instead of guessing at it: agents, copilots and automations that run on your own data, with role-based access, audit and guardrails, deployed in the cloud, hybrid, or fully on your premises. Synergy Labs is the engineering practice we open when software needs to fit your environment exactly, from complex integrations to bespoke enterprise applications.
Every engagement follows the SAIL method: Simplify, Automate, Integrate, Launch. We go live in stages, and every step is measurable and reversible, so your operation keeps running while we modernize it.
The Kappal Way
We build what we ship
We are not just software vendors. We are product builders. We design, build, deploy and host what we ship, and the people who made the system stay accountable for it.
Integration over replacement
The systems that run your business took years to build. We connect to them through their native interfaces and make the whole stack work as one, instead of asking you to start over.
You pay for what you run
No feature locks, no seat limits, no fees to remove limitations. Pricing tracks the infrastructure your business actually uses, and it grows with you.
A commitment from engineers
Our core team includes architects, developers and designers. Every decision, from the tech stack to the UI, is made with experience and precision. Not by sales targets.
